  • To promote an understanding of the general objectives of business teaching on the part of the business teachers of the state of Kansas in high schools, private schools, parochial schools and colleges.
  • To promote and facilitate programs and activities within the state of Kansas designed to assist all business teachers to grow in their profession.
  • To improve business education in Kansas as the K-NEA strives to improve all education.

Mountain Plains Business Education Award

Do you have a colleague who deserves recognition for their innovative classroom ideas or their outstanding leadership in Business, Marketing or Information Technology education?

Now would be a good time to nominate them for a Mountain-Plains Business Education Award in one of the following categories:

  • Middle Level Business Teacher
  • Secondary Business Teacher
  • Post-secondary Business Teacher
  • Senior College or University Business Teacher
  • Administrator or Supervisor of Business Education
  • Contributions to Business Education by an Institution, Organization, Business Firm, or Government Agency
  • Secondary Rookie Business Teacher
  • Contributions by a Business Education Program (Middle Level, High School Community College, and/or College Business Education Program).

Nominations are due by March 1, 2017. All nomination forms and a listing of past winners are posted on the Awards page at www.mpbea.org.

KBEA Scholarship Applications Due May 30! 

Please share with your business education students the news that  KBEA voted to offer two $250 scholarships to students for undergraduate work in business education or graduate work in a business related field.  Applications for the scholarship will be submitted to , KBEA Past-President Nicole Friesen @nfriesen@usd259.net by May 30!   Please see the KBEA Scholarship page for more information!!


KBEA Outstanding Educator Nominations Due May 30!

In an effort to recognize outstanding teaching and service to the field of business education in Kansas, the Kansas Business Education Association will annually accept nominations and recognize an outstanding rookie secondary business educator, an outstanding secondary business educator, and an outstanding post-secondary business educator.  Nominations are due May 30, 2016!  See the Awards Page for more information!
